And I put a little Tetra grease on the slide rails. The gun did need a good cleaning, however, before use. The only thing I did was polish the feed ramp on the barrel with my dremmel tool buffer 'cause it looked dirty, not rough. The hammer and hammer guide rail were already polished. Upon disassembly, which is easy, I found none of the 'rough' machining described on the steel slide, only a faint burr around the assembly pin holes on the aluminum frame easily smoothed and a little edge on the front of the plastic housing, again easily smoothed. Well, Kel Tec must have really improved their quality. KTOG and goldenloki have lots of stories about rough finish on the earlier models of the P11 and complete instructions on how to 'fluff and buff' it yourself. the Kahr which had a delivery date of 6 mo. So my gun shop friend got me a new P11, 2day delivery new from the factory, serial no. 32cal, they also are good for primary, concealed carry, when a belt hoster won't do. These barely classify as pocket guns but are just small enough and light to fit in the pocket. Anyway, after reading all the posts here and other internet web site comparisons, I decided on the Kel Tec P11 instead of the Kahr PM9 which I liked the looks of. Well, George, I don't know if this belongs here or under Concealed Carry or Primary Handguns or what.
